CBR F4i vs RR
Im just curious what the exact difference is. They are both fuel injected right? How much of a power difference is there? Power band at different rpm range? Im talking about 2000 and newer too and the RR wasnt out until '04 I think. Ive been looking at the two and was just curious what exactly seperated them.

They are completely different motorcycles with different focuses. Ergonomics are different, powerband is different, power output is different, handling is different, and I believe the RR introduced Honda's new pro link rear suspension as one of the major highlights. Both bikes are injected. The basic summary of the two is that the F4i is much more street oriented, and the RR is a no holds barred track bike.

Alright, thats what I was after. Would the F4i have enough power to keep me happy or would it be weak and have me wanting a RR in 6 months? Basically, is it a lot of bike, just the RR is that much more, or is the F4i a little weak period? I have a Katana now and its not enough...is the F4i a lot more?

my buddy has an 02 F4i, it's a really nice bike. the only thing i don't like is that the seat is rock solid and uncomfortable.
it's definitely fast enough to keep most people happy. the engine is mounted further back on the F4 so it doesn't quite handle like the RR, the handle bars aren't swept down as far on the F4 so it makes for a more upright riding position, like deals said it's just meant to be more street friendly than the RR. imo it's a great bike.

Im not a pro racer, so ill probably look into the F4i unless I get a better deal on a RR than I would on a comparable F4i. I just wanted to know so I could go based on colors and other features and not have to narrow it to the RR only. Much appreciated everyone :-D

i would have replied but it may be different models down here.
the CBR600 was always the best mid sports tourer (for honda sales wise) and had a good sales run. when more sport oriented bikes came out, they got the F4I sport (down here anyway) which was a better set up bike and went without centre stands and other non-sport type of crap. then the RR was developed to compete in the new market while the older designed 600 kept the existing owners happy
