76 compared to a 79 confusion

ok here is what i got...if the 76 has more bhp and is 100 pounds lighter why does it say that my hp to pound ratio is 15.9 but the 76 is only 9.1 ? eh im confused again.. typo or am i just an idiot..or maybe both lol and do these stats sound right to you guys?

hehe i think you got it mixed up dude, its lbs to horsepower. not horsepower to lbs, so the smaller number you got, the faster your car is.. (supposedly)..

and yeah! whered you get those stats from? they're pretty sweet!
i want my stats...

and how can the 79 and 76 camaro be lighter than my 97?!?! mine is 3800 lbs.. how the heck. i thought cars 'in those days' were buit friggin heavy!

that 76 is highly modded... from the factory the 76 with the 400 cid engine is rated at 185 hp and 215 ft.lbs... these numbers are slightly underated but bu no mean were 76's rollin off the line with 300+ hp in 76

yea i see that at the top now to...i thaught so because a friend of mine has a stock 76 and my 79 stock would beat him everytime

the 79 and 76 are trans ams and the site says your car weights in at 3350

I learned this several months ago. The F-body muscle cars weren't BOATS at all. Every generation the muscle car got heavier for safety standards, all new stuff being added.
