2007 Camry vs 2006 Rav4

Hi,

I am a 33 year old female, married, with no children yet. I am in the market for a new car. I have a 1992 corolla that is falling apart...it is time to get a new car. I have narrowed it down to 2 cars.....2006 RAV4 and 2007 Camry. I can't decide if a small suv or sedan would be better. Both cars seem to have good ratings as far as performance and reliability. I guess it comes down to looks......I hate to be superficial but that is what it comes down to. What is your opinion on which car looks better? What is popular nowadays?
Also, is leather interior better than cloth?

Thank you

Buy what you want, not just because it is popular.Camry is less expensive and gets better gas mileage. Rav4 has cargo room and likely handles better(according to magazine reports). I prefer cloth seats asthey are not slippery, not sticky in summer and cold in winter.

It's an apples and oranges situation. Two completely different cars. Spend a few bucks and rent each for a day. You'll get a much better feel for them then just spending a few minutes test driving one.

If you can, look into the Costco car buying program. My daughter just bought a 2006 Honda Accord EX for $200 under dealer cost through them. It depends on where you are, which dealers participate, and what car you want but, there are deals to be had.

Re: 2007 Camry vs 2006 Rav4

The 2007 Rav4 is a bigger car compared to the Gen 2 Rav4s. More power and room. The 2007 Camry is a huge improvement from the Gen 5, (2002-2006)

You get more standard features in the camry and it's a more subtle car for everyday driving. I prefer the camry than the Rav4. Test drive them both and see how it feels like to you when you drive them. You'll notice big differences.
