New toy...not soon enough

Well Ive been looking into getting a street bike for about a year now, been looking for a nice used one but never found what I wanted in my price range...So I toyed with the thought of a new one and decided I didnt want to have to payments...A bike and my stealth, so I talked to the parents yesterday and heres the verdict...Im going to pay double payments for the rest of the summer on my stealth and as of December I will be the new owner of a 2006 R6 raven edition...

Have you ever driven a bike before? If not I WOULD NOT get that as a first bike. Buy a ninja 250 and drive that around for this summer. You can get them for 1500 or so. Then sell that for about the same price you buy it for and get the r6 next summer. Otherwise I can make a 90% sure guess that you will lay that bike down and you will learn a very expencive leason.

Very true ^. Check out the bike section, they have a few really good stickies for potential bike owners.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: New toy...not soon enough

Yup I had a friend buy a gsxr 750 when I got my ninja 250. In one year he dropped it once, then flipped it end over end totalling it. He then got an R1 and has dropped it 2-3 times. Every single time he has crashed has been without a helmet but has been pretty fucked up afterwards.I sold my 250 and got a yamaha fzr 600 which I recently sold and am looking at r6's and 600rr's. I have never dropped a bike.

You may be fine starting out with an r6, but most people wont be. Just be safe.
