So DSM Trader has nothing to do with DSM's. It's off-topic? WRONG. Subforums are good, but they're just that, SUBforums, there still has to be a main forum.

Re: DSMTrader is back up

I feel lost without the main forum cause thats where I mostly hung out, now I'm not sure where to go. I vote on having a main forum as well as the subforums.

Man you need to chill out about this. I think the forum is much more organized and it doesn't bother a lot of us one bit. Lets say I don't wanna read any threads pertaining to problem diagnosis, then I just avoid that subforum altogether. The way I look at it, the main forum was always random or off topic stuff anyways so you should just stick to the off topic subforum if you don't like the way the rest of the forum is setup now.

It just seems like anytime something is changed you complain about it in every possible way. Not all change is bad ya know... You need to give the mods a lot of credit, thats a lot of work organizing all the old main forum threads into the subthreads so that new members can find certain topics quicker and easier... I'm sure you telling them that they are doing a horrible job is the last thing they wanna hear.

Re: DSMTrader is back up

Look at the front page, it's barren. That's what people are supposed to see when they click on this forum?

I even asked for these sub-forums, there was a thread about it a long time ago, and if i remember correctly, those are the exact forums I recommended, I'm not saying they were created because of me, because they weren't, but I did want them like this. However we still need a main forum, it's ridiculous to have a main forum that serves no purpose.

If you think different, then fine, I don't really care. But if the mods aren't doing a very good job, then I will say something about it. This is a very easy forum to mod compared to other car forums out there. I have no problem with change, change is good, but it has to be change for the better, this isn't.

Re: DSMTrader is back up

How is it not better though? Everything is finally organized how we all wanted it. The main forum isn't necessary when we have an off topic subforum. The only thing that should be in the main forum is all the stickys. Which, now we can have even more stickys than before if we have some good write ups and such... I'm not saying it was you who made them become like this, but I know we all wanted it this way so we should be happy with it. The administrator doesn't make these kinds of changes for just any forum, just ours. I feel special because of that.

Re: DSMTrader is back up

Some threads are not off-topic (they still deal with DSM's), but they don't fit in the other forums. Those are the ones that belong there, instead, the mods just move them into off-topic, even though they involve DSM's.

I'm glad you feel special, but that doesn't mean the mods are putting threads where they should be. It's not that difficult.

Ok well if its such a problem to you then why don't you directly contact twospirits about it? I'm sure he will give you a more straight forward answer/solution to it than I can. (I'm just another typical AF member ) I just thought I'd throw my 2cents in about the whole situation as I have read this thread a few times now... I'm not trying to start a fight with you or anything, I'm just trying to show it to you from others viewpoints...

Re: DSMTrader is back up

I agree with crunchy, something has to go on the main forum. Plainly put, it looks ugly as shit. This could have maybe fit in the classifieds section though instead of off-topic, as it deals with DSM's but is also along the same lines as buying/selling shit.
