fuel cut?

(Ok I know we shouldnt be racing around, but sometimes i just feel the need.) ANYWAYS whenever I really get on it, it starts cutting out or something at 3/4 throttle - Wide Open Throttle. when it cuts out it sounds like something is slipping or something, or like a hose blew and its shooting out a lot of air or something, hard to explain. If I let off the gas though and then press back down, it stops and drives normal and pulls hard again, and then as the RPMs get up cuts out again. I think its fuel cut, but not positive. Any ideas as to what it is and how to fix it?

Re: fuel cut?

Sounds more like a boost leak to me, but I don't own a turbo car so who knows. Do a boost leak test anyway just to make sure.

Re: fuel cut?

how much boost are you running? I think it's either a spark issue (replace plugs and wires) or its a tune issue, you shouldn't be running more than stock boost until you get injectors, so what are you running?

Re: fuel cut?

Most likely a boost leak since your hearing that noise. Do a test

Re: fuel cut?

stock injectors. 12-16 psi. i was looking at some greddy 660cc injectors on ebay for $400, and pte precision 880cc injectors for $259. Does that sound like they would be big enough? Also, (I know this is gonna sound dumb) I have a safc hooked up and like a putz i dont know how to tune it for crap, could it be tuned wrong, and thats the reason for the fuel cut, if it actually IS fuel cut? Could it also be my wastegate opening? I'll look around for a boost leak. Just to be sure, where are all the places that a boost leak could happen? should I just follow all the hoses that have to do with turbo, air filter to turbo, turbo to intercooler, intercooler to throttle body, and the boost solenoid hoses, and thats it or are there more spots to check? thank you all very much!
