1969 - He's been a good friend
My 1969 Firebird has been a good friend to me, even helped me through a divorce.
But alas, new family, new house, a garage full of other toys, and I'm afraid I must sell my baby. 1969 Firebird 350, 4-barrel carb 110K miles Engine rebuilt approximately 5K miles ago The problem is that the brakes are completely (completely) gone, and the suspension will need some work as well (springs, etc). My question is, how much work should I have done to it to generate the highest sale value? In other words, I hate to sink money into the brakes/etc if I'm not going to get it back during the sale. Assuming I don't have time to do the work myself, would I be better off selling it as a project car, or better off investing a little money into it? I'm in California, BTW. Any advice is appreciated. |

Re: 1969 - He's been a good friend
ooh. damn no one answered this one..its hard.. haha
how much are you looking for, if you were to sell this car? if you want the maximum amount, and its in a pretty restoreable condition, restore it to ALL factory specs..those things go for pretty good money.. but if you are gonna restore it, you have to go all out, or else..just sell it as high as you can, lots of people want to do a resto on their own. good luck, thats a pretty sweet car, btw..
