Thumbs up SS/SC Vs. 331 stroker (vids)

Posted one of these a bit ago in Brandon's thread about killing an LS1, but that thread seems to be a bit dead and these deserve a thread of their own anyhow.

These were made a few months back before the C/F hood was put, so they are a little overdue, but I'm lazy so it's taken a while to get them up.

Brandon's car is no slouch and I have no problem beliving that it beat a fairly modded LS1.

There are a couple more that I'll get posted up a bit later as well.

Yup, long time no see. The Camaro is coming along a bit slower than I'd like (body shop is dragging thier feet on it) but it's getting there. I ordered that new cam, lifter and pushrod set I was telling you about, now I still need about 20 other parts just to get the motor mounted and ready when I get it back from the shop. Then the new interior will be put in and then some final touches after that. I'd be happy to have her up and running by mid winter.

...and ya, your car is loud as hell. Sounds like my buddies 5.0 when all he had was a set of shorty headers and a catless H-pipe.

I've also been trying to call you, but no answer that last few calls...

Laf. The Cobalt may be on the slow side, but the Camaro will be a different story...

What is going into the Camaro engine wise? Also, good luck selling the Cobalt after that idiot insurance adjuster blew up the original engine. It'll show up on carfax and screw up the value of that car. I'd be going to small claims court if I were you.

Re: SS/SC Vs. 331 stroker (vids)

i know it sounds stupid, but i fell in love with the cobalt because of nfs most wanted, i turned that car into a monster, it spanked cars left and right. certainly would love to put the upgrades in a real cobalt like the one i made in mw, it would be a beast on the road lolol

The engine for the Camaro has been finished for about 2 1/2 years now and has just been sitting on a stand ever since. The car itself has been in the body shop for about a year now. I just recently decided to change out the cam, lifters and push rods on the thing, as well as getting a 7 qrt oil pan and a new oil pump/pickup to match. Once the cam gets changed out some time next week I'm going to be ordering the water pump, pulleys, A/C pump, radiator and a trillion other expensive things...damn money pit. After all of that is finished, the new interior goes in.

As far as the Cobalt goes, it shouldnt be too much of an issue. It runs great and the motor has 6000 miles less than the rest of the car. It's also got a 60000 mile warrenty on the engine because of what they did. They gave that to me for free
