Pick my setup!

Ok guys, I have a feeling that my turbo upgrade will be happening shortly. I have a friend with a 95 tsi awd, and he has a super 16g, and he said he was getting crazy boost creep on it untill he ported it. I plan on going with the evo3, which I think is bigger? Anyway, my question is, with my setup, do you think I would creep badly? I'm going with the turbochargers.com 2g solution which is the choice of MHI small, big, or evo3, or the evo3 gt, their ported manifold, and the 2g install kit. Also, I will be doing a 190 pump and 550's. The big question is, should I get the MHI or the gt since it is already ported with the bigger flapper to reduce creep. I only plan on doing about 18psi daily driving it.

EDIT: Oh ya, I don't really want to go through the hassle of getting a BRAND NEW turbo ported and stuff. With my luck, something would definately go wrong and break....

On a side note, I have been bitten by the DSMlink bug, and I am now searching for an eprom too lol.

Re: Pick my setup!

get the gt model you wont regret it, they ported everything, no boost creep, one year unconditional warranty basically.

Re: Pick my setup!

If you're planning on running 18 psi then boost creep won't be an issue. I have an evo3 NOTHING ported, and I don't creep at all unless I'm running around 15 psi. Once I turn it up and leave it at 18 (which I usually do), then there's no creep at all. MHI all the way IMO.

Re: Pick my setup!

Cmon guys, I need more input! The tally stands at 1 for gt, 1 for mhi lol. I would really just like to get the mhi cause it's PROVEN to be great, and a turbo isn't something to skimp on.

Re: Pick my setup!

I dont have personal experiance with the GT but alot of other ppl have and saw great results. But if I was in your situation I would get the MHI, I would just feel safer with it then the GT. And just pay alittle extra and you can have it ported. Thats what I would do.

Re: Pick my setup!

If the GT is already ported and all and comes with 1 year warranty I would go with it. I mean why go through all thew hassle of porting and this and that when you can get it all done with bigger flapper with 1 year warranty. Besides, I dont think you would keep that 16G. Maybe something bigger down the road , so I would go with the GT version.
