98 3.8 won't start

Hello everyone,

I have a 1998 3.8L manual and was trying to go home last night only to find it won't start. I dont hear or feel anything when I try to start it, and when I turn the key the radio doesn't come on, yet I have a few dash lights come on. I have had a similar problem with the alarm system, and I fixed it by taking the little key out under my dash and putting it back in until the light stops blinking. Now it wont start even without the light blinking. If I open the door with my keys in, the other alarm light on top of my dash by the winshield blinks super fast and I hear a quiet clicking noise clicking at the same speed as the light, then if I close the door the light goes off and the clicking goes away. It seems like an alarm problem, but no matter how many times I take the alarm key out and put it back in it wont start, whether the red light is blinking under my dash or not. Tried a jumpstart and still got nothing, it won't even try to start...seems completely disabled. Any ideas?

It turned out that my positive cable needed to me tightened on to my battery. I really feel dumb cuz this isn't the first time it happened! It was just late and I wasn't thinking straight I guess. Thanks for the help!

Good catch, luckily it was something simple, never overlook the silly stuff
