Unhappy I think i blew my 10" MTX Audio

i just made a box for it... and i was poundin it then all of a sudden my amp went into "protection" mode, then i unhooked my 10, my 6x9's worked still its only when the sub is connected it goes into protection mode.
well so i take it out, thinking that maybe its a small short somewhere... i dont think it is... i tried using a battery to see if it still works, well i hear a SMALL sound in the speaker but it dosnt move up or down.. could this mean that it went bye bye?

Re: I think i blew my 10" MTX Audio

The amp prob. went into protect cause when the coils fried the impedence dropped significantly. Fried coil means no suspension travel, thats why it gets...stuck.
