Seems like an unrelated problem
The strangest thing happened. My water pump decided to blow through it's gasket so I fixed that by installing a brand new cast water pump, but then my electrical system decided to go haywire on me. Now even with a brand new battery in it when you go to start the car it will click once then kill the electrical system for a while. Any one know what might cause this on a 87 Cherokee Leredo with the 4.0?

Re: Seems like an unrelated problem
the starter may be drawing to much current and need to be replaced. I would try jumping it, if it doesn't help, its probably the starter.
