Tire blowout

Ok so i was cruising at 80 mph on the 5 freeway just north of LA and my rear drivers tire decides to go kaboomy. My car did a 360 just in front of some oncoming big rigs and after about 5 seconds of spinning i ended up about 15-20 feet in the right hand shoulder, facing in the opposite direction of oncoming traffic. So a trucker stops and tells me i was nearly raped by a oncoming big rig and was damn lucky to still be alive. The only damage on my car was a busted rear tailight and some scratches on the rear bumper. I tried to get the car out of the ditch but couldnt as the car wouldnt pull. A tow truck had to haul my ass out facing opposite of traffic where i put my spare on. After driving for like an hour in the middle of nowere i find a pep boys from heaven. Had to get 2 new tires and a full alignment. Moral of this story: Bald tires and crappy alignment on a 18 year old car can eat a cock.

You can see the skid marks of the car in the dirt.

This tire can lick my dick.

The car took a bath in dirt.

Yep the day it happened was 6-6-06, the devil took a bite outa my ass.

Re: Tire blowout

Glad you're okay and all. You better keep an eye on those tires. 80mph on 13s is about the max; especially on shitty tires...

Re: Tire blowout

13's would spin faster, but I doubt 80mph is the max..

Re: Tire blowout

I had 13's on my green crx, that I could pick up with one finger. I didnt have any problem doing 120+ with them.

Yeah, sure... but I bet they weren't cheap bald tires like those ^^.

BTW, Hybrid, what was the width on those? I'd feel a little uneasy going that fast on anything thinner than 185mm.

Yeah i had no problem going 110 with them the last time i took a trip in the winter. This time the weather on the road was friggin hot and the tire was balder than my grandad. Also the car's alignment was way off, not to mention a rack and pinion that should snap any day like a toothpick, warped rotors, blown ball joints, bushings, wheel bearings, and shocks - just shit that will not be replaced cause the car's not worth it...

This has something to do with a radial pull Try to raise your rear tire pressure to 31psi

I can take the heat with no AC but my tires cant and i wouldn't be surprised if my car dies on me this summer. Its 18 year old chassis and suspension is beyond repair and the cost needed to fix it. Im tired of hearing loud ass clunks and ticks when i turn and crazy shaking when i brake... Ive tried hard to keep this car on the road, but i piss my pants each time im on the highway, fixing it would just be money wasted. Damn i need to sell it...
