Jus made my first box
it came out kinda rough, i mean it took a whole bottle of silacone to seal it up, i had to use a jigsaw, and a 10 year old one...
i have a lot of respect for people who make great boxes, it really is a tallant and its something i think that takes a lil time learning, but for my box it actually sealed up nice and its poundin away with a lil 10" MTX Audio in it, it actually sounds great! it was a lil 12x11x8 but like i said i have a LOT of respect for people who can make em, its harder than it lookim probly gonna keep practicein making em better thats all i wanted to say ![]() EDIT: i also have a 12" kicker that already came in a box and that one is sealed great. so i have a 12" and a 10" in my car, it sounds GREAT... i need a more powerfull alternator... lol if you wanna know my full specs jus ask

Re: Jus made my first box
Speaking of boxes, I'm going to try to build one for a Dodge Ram crew cab. Any tricks/things to watch out for before I start measuring and cutting would be greatly appreciated.
Too bad I can't find plans online. The space under the rear seat is kinda funky. I'm not sure I can get it right, but hopefully MDF isn't too expensive in case I don't!

Re: Jus made my first box
just learn
and have fun doing it, try and make the edges STRIGHT or u'll be using a lot of silacone... tablesaw works great. a good jigsaw works good for the circle. make sure you have a ruler or something thats stright, i had a metel 30" ruler and it works great.. u might need that for drawing stright lines. drawing the circle is a B****what i did is i turned the speaker upside down on the board and i drew a circle around the speaker (of course) then i went ahead and drew inside the screw holes so i could see how far out it needs to be in. see for like a 10" speaker you would cut a 9"-9 1/2" circle (correct me if im wrong) goodluck it took me most of the day lol

Re: Jus made my first box
i use a dremel with the hole cutting attachment. cuts a perfect circle. works great for 10s and 12s, but doesn't get big enough for a 15.
