Check engine light error message p1400
I have an error message p1400 on my 02 explorer. Can anyone tell me what this is and if I can fix it myself. thanks Aaron

It looks to me like you PROBABLY need a DPFE sensor. They are a very common problem with Fords and that code references a DPFE low voltage reading. They are a very easy fix and the only cost about $30 bucks for your vehicle. Your local dealer will probably have one on the shelf. Make sure to clear the codes if you change it, or you may still get a light. Hope this helps. MM
