my shady tree mechanic owns a 1998 lumina also. he is an honest guy and he says he knows how to change the front struts in like 45 minutes and without any alignment issues.anyone else have knowledge of this subject?if so, what struts do you recommend? if i get it done i,ll post the results.

Re: easy strut installation=

Front struts are cartridges installed through the top of the fender.....realinement is not necessary. I installed new struts in about 45 min. each with special tools borrowed from Auto Zone. They didn't change the ride though...it was a complete waste of time and money.

Sensatracs won't do it, try KYB instead.
