99 contour v6 runs rough and burns tons of gas
My 99 Contour is burning a lot of gas, the check engine light is on. It also mis-fires on occasion. I have replaced the egr valve, mass air flow sensor and the spark plugs. A scan of the computer said Bank 1 was running lean. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 99 contour v6 runs rough and burns tons of gas
You've more than likely, got an intake leak somewhere. As a result, the car is pulling in unmetered air and the car is compensating by adding more fuel. If you haven't even replaced the intake manifold gaskets, I would start there. My original ones on my SVT at 90K looked nasty. They weren't even seated anymore.
