No spark

Ok, I've narrowed down the problem on the "starting challenged" 88 civic. It isn't the fuel system. I'm not getting a spark at the plugs. Is it most likely:

A) Distributor cap
B) Distributor rotor
C) Ignition coil
D) Ignition control module
E) None of the above

The guy at Autozone said it probably was the control module, not the coil. Any ideas???

-J
P.s. I put in new plugs already

replace the cap/rotor anyway, and if that doesn't fix the problem, get a coil from any other 88-91 civic/crx or 90-93 integra. Other years may work too. If the coil doesn't fix the problem, replace your distributor, because it's probably the ignitor.

Re: No spark

The Honda dealership replaces your ignitor for free since it was a recall for all 4th gen civics. Might wanna take advantage of that since and see if it takes care of your problem.

Re: No spark

Does the problem happen most in hot weather? cause if it does it's the main PGM-FI relay located next to fuse box under the dash, they have weak solder joints in our gen cars and when it gets hot Ingintion signal cuts out.
