'97 Camry warning lights

Does anyone know what the warning lights "O/D OFF" is referring to in a 1997 Camry? I don't have a manual and have no clue whats going on with it or what I need to do to fix it without any big expenses. If there are any ideas please let me know. Thanks.

Re: '97 Camry warning lights

It means "Over Drive"
There should be a button somewhere on the transmission lever. You probably accidently push it. When you restart your car it should go off by itself.

I meant to say that the light should go off.

Hi jade 21. I received your PM.
From what I understand the the over drive gear should get engaged with the help of a relay. So there might be two promblems: one could be just a simple blown fuse. The second one could be a transmission problem. I hope somebody who knows more about that will give you more information.
