Re: headers

What do you have done to your exhaust now? But the only way it would make a difference is to remove the stock 4 cats and replace them with 2 high flow cats and go dual from there.

Re: headers

Well as long as you do not need the cats to pass emissions if your state does emissions, Then get rid of the cats. After you get rid of cats I would go duals it will be way better and a big difference than what you have now, Also I would put in an H or an X pipe if you do duals.

I don't know why everyone removes Cats if they go out FIX the problem that burned them up.
every car drivin on the road from 1975 to present is required by federal law to have all of the emission controls it came from the factory with. The fine for getting caught with a tampered system is $2500 for vehicle owner and if a shop gets caught modifying a vehicle it is $25000 and or jail time. Also in most states law enforcement officers can inspect the vehicle for any reason and bust you for an altered system. what starts as a ticket for a loud muffler could get expensive in a hurry

No, you will not notice any performance gain with "shorty" headers.

Instead of buying headers ... buy new oxygen sensors and/or hi-flow cats.

Re: headers

im well aware that it is illigal thats why i was thinking of gutting them so a visual inspection would pass i doubt that any cops could analyze my exhaust fumes and i just put new o2's on about 2000 mi ago
