1994 Ranger Battery light will not go off

I have replaced the battery, the alternator checks out fine with a meter. Don't know what to look at next.

This happened to me and when I googled 1994 Ford Ranger dashboard battery light the answer I received was that the alternator was dead. I replaced the alternator and never have had a problem since.
