Hidden Stereo in Espace '02

I have a 2002 Renault Espace 2.0 Privilege.

The car has a 'hidden' stereo, where the 6 disc changer is boot mounted, and there is no head unit in the dashboard. I can only control the stereo via the steering column controls or the remote control. The 6 disc changer is a Pioneer unit (not sure of the model) as is the remote control.

My question is - how can I connect my 5th gen Video Ipod into my stereo system. Most of the systems I have seen (e.g. Denison ICE link), connect into the head unit. I do not have one - or cannot find it.

Can anyone help me out on this please.
