Re: is this the magnaflow catback exhaust i need?

Every place I have seen that is about the same prices your going to pay everywhere else for it. Just from experiance my friend had this exhaust on his 98 3.8L Camaro and it didn't sound that great. I had flowmaster on my 96v6 Firebird and my other friend had it on his 97 V6 Camaro and we both thought it sounded a lot better.

Here's a cheaper kit: http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm

Go there and click on the link "Exhaust" on the left menu. Then click the "Cat-Back Systems/ Rear Sections" link and then scroll down to the Mangnaflow. The 1st one it has listed at $365 is designed for the V8. If you wan't to buy that one, then you will have to have an exhaust shop fab up an s-pipe so it can connect to your cat, also that one is 3 inches, so the shop would have to weld in a size adapter as well so it can still hook up to your 2 1/2 exhaust. The second one listed at $402 is designed for your car and will bolt right up.

Re: is this the magnaflow catback exhaust i need?

I was wondering. Is there any soldering or stuff like that in installing this? My dad thinks he will be able to do it no problem if there is no soldering

Soldering....im thinking you mean welding maybe? and more then likely there is going to be some welding unless you can find a kit that bolts together. your local exhaust shop can do it ... they charged me 60 bucks and i thaught it was an ok deal, although i could of did it myself if it hadnt been so cold this winter.
