oil change light
about 2 weeks ago i got an oil change on my car. But everytime i start my car since about a week ago the Oil Change light pops up. After 2-3 minutes it does eventually go away. Is it safe to drive it this keeps coming up even though it goes away in 5 minutes? What should i do? Thanks

Re: oil change light
you have to rest the light, here is what you do. Turn the car on the on spot do not start it just turn the key to on. There is two diffrent ways that gm does this, i don't remember wich way your car resets it but try both of them and one will work. So put the car on the on spot and put the gas to the floor three time and hold it each time for about 2 sec. you might see the change oil light flas if not try this way. Put the car on the on spot again and hold down the tripometor rest thing on the gauges for about 10sec you will see the oil change light flash then it is reset. I think for your car the way to do it is the tripometor one.

Re: oil change light
some times oil change places know how to do that, and others are lucky they even know how to walk.
