Ax gt carb probs

Hi all
I got a Citreon ax gt which i think has a solex 32-34 carb on it petrol version k reg or 1992/1993.
It has a manual choke too.
Recently when it gets hot it refuses to start and the revs drop and it stalls. The only way I have managed to nurse it home is by keeepin me foot on the accelerator and continually revvin it but when required to stop like at lights it stalls and then starts then stalls again.

I have been told it probably needs the carb cleaned as they r rare items to find.
Anyone got a fool proof way of doing this or any ideas of places for parts if any should need replacing within it ?

Ps when cold its ok again ?
