Update on windstar electrical problem

I'm still having the same problem with my electrical system. When the van is running, everything operates normally. When I remove the key, all the accessories stay on and the headlights and heater fan turn on even though the switches are off. I've swapped all the relays, swapped out the ignition switch and just replaced the front electronic control module (the one on the inside firewall by the fuse panel). The problem is still there. Anyone have any suggestions before I give in and take it to Ford?

Re: Update on windstar electrical problem

If you haven't fixed the problem yet, check fuse 16.

Re: Update on windstar electrical problem

I've got the EXACT same situation going on here.
I've replaced the FEM, unplugged the headlight switch, unplugged the multifunction switch, checked all the relays, and checked fuse 16, among fuses 2,6,14 for the FEM.....I'm totally stuck here.... anyone got anything on this??????

Re: Update on windstar electrical problem

Ok guys, heres an update on my situation
I need ideas cause i'm stumped

2003 Ford Windstar
105,000 miles
ran beautifully, needed a power steering pump recently and replaced that, then suddenly the alternater went... and i replaced that about 4 weeks ago
got the abs and brake lights on for the past 3 weeks (brake pressure switch not leaking) and then all of the sudden, last week the headlights, tail lights, a/c, all stay on. regardless if the key is in the ignition or not, or if i lock the car and walk away... they are all on...

Here's what i've done soo far..
unplugged the headlight switch, unplugged the multifunction switch, unplugged the Cluster, unplugged the pcm, REPLACED the F.E.M. (front electronics module) and nothings changed... everything still goes on the second i reconnect the battery terminal....

checked relays 1-6 inside the car and they all tested the same...
checked every fuse, nothing blown......what the hell is going on!?!?!?!
