Re: Radio Lights

It's a special bulb that isn't available except through a GM authorized radio and cluster repair center. Once you get the radio out of the car, take the faceplate off (it's held on by plastic tabs) and disconnect the ribbon wires. you'll see the bulb on a circuit board directly behind the display, and it's soldered in place. It's a fairly simple job if you have a solder iron and basic mechanical skills, getting a bulb is the hard part.

Re: Radio Lights

actually no, you can get bulbs from radio shack that will work great with it, last longer (or so they say), and are less expensive. Look them up, i dont know the exact part number, but do yourself a favor and replace all the bulbs behind there, cause once one burns out, the others aren't short to follow. Or else you could convert them to LED's, look at my other post in the dash lights forum about luminas.

i just memorized the buttons, not a single one of mine actually lights up now and it's been a year. it's cheaper and easier than replacing them

Re: Radio Lights

no thanks, although the ride in your pimp lumina would be pretty kick ass, i think I'll have to pass on that one. And i'm not much of a stereo person, I have stock all the way around and thats perfectally good. Thanks anyway, ebay it off. someone will buy it.
