|
Fuel and Temp gauge are stuck.
93 B2200 with most of the replaced parts being 92. The gauges are fully maxed and stuck. I was able to search and find a few other people with similar issues but never saw a fix.
Everything else is fine and the Temp sensor has been replaced. Any ideas?

Make sure the gauge wiring is OK, possibly there's a short to ground. I've seen this before due to wiring issues with other gauges in other vehicles. On my 71 VW convertible in 2003 I installed a new wire back to the oil drain plug temperature sender and somehow scraped off a little insulation, and my gauge pegged. I actually used jumper cables as an alternate path to demonstrate to self that the culprit was the wire itself. Are your wires running through grommets or going through plain holes?
These B2200s routinely have issues with the fuel gauge sender due to the age of the trucks, dealer part only, should be under $80.
