Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

I have a 2001 Grand Am GT as a daily driver.
To be honest, it isn't going to be much more than that.
They are mid to upper 15 second cars stock.

Get something else if you care modding it or competing.

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

I killed my friends alero 3.4 pretty easily. I test drove a 3.4 grand am once and it seemed like a nice car. They are fairly quick down low but up top they seem to die out a little. Nice cars but they will feel slow compared to your talon.

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

A) I'm pretty sure cars can't be homosexual

B) Both are slow and typically aren't in the same sentence as 'kill' or 'performance'. Unless of course, it is composed something like, "i could kill myself for getting this alero, and not something with decent performance.

If you like the Grand Am, get a GTP. If you like the Alero...I don't know what to say...

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

There is no grand am gtp, the fastest is a gt unless the new ones come as a gtp. I think your thinking of a grand prix gtp, in which case is a decently fast car. My friends brother has one and it moves pretty good.

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

I don't think so, I only know of the 2.X 4 cylinders and a 3.4L V-6

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

the alero's are easy to knock out of drive into neutral when ur driving. my ex bf has one.. not something that's a real issue but it can be a nuisance

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

I rented one once. The car was new, and the service engine soon light came on. It really cracked me up. The car has decent spunk, but I would think that your Talon is faster then it, being a turbo and all.

Personally I think you should look at a Pontiac Grand Am GTP 2 door. It would be peppy, reliable, and have decent seating accomadations.

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

again, there is no such thing as a "Grand Am GTP"

They also made 2.2L Ecotec Aleros the last 2 years of the run.

Re: grand am gt <-->alero gls

Oops, I meant Grand Prix GTP. I'm out of it.

Oh, there is also a Regal GS with a supercharger on it. Totally inconspicuous to the cops, but a terror at the light.
