is it worth it?

well even though i have a camaro i can't get enuf of them. So i am looking at this 95 z28 auto camaro for sale. It is all white, it has new tires and breaks and just hit 100,000. body wise only thing wrong with it is a small dent by the gas lid about a dime size. He is asking $2,000 for the car BUT it has a blown head gasket and the tranny is starting to slip. But for $2,000 can't beat it can ya? i was wanting to see what u guys think, i was thinking since the tranny is going out, get it race built. and hell while u have the heads off do a cam change and MAYBE throw some better ones on or just clean the ones up. The car is in great shape except for the trans and head gasket. The tranny shop said $1,300 for a stock rebuild. and a head gasket set is like $275. So what do u guys think?

Re: is it worth it?

If you have enough money to fix it and are sure it's what you want then buy it. Don't buy something with huge plans and have them fall through. Be logical and if you can afford it go for it!

Re: is it worth it?

I'm not telling you to not buy it, you know your situation better than I do. If you can pay for it and to fix it and it's what you wan't then you should buy it. I have bigger plans for my car but my serious lack of time has limited this pretty good so far. Just don't go into this blindly and end up spending a lot of money that could have been spent better.

Re: is it worth it?

I'd take it if you have the money/means of paying the problems it has along with the car.

Is a body shop gonna paint your car for you or are you doing it yourself?
