Ferrari F50 GT custom Lot of pics beware!

Hey guys this is my first picture post here hope you guys like it. Trying for a stealth sort of look on this one. Planning to make it flat black all over with the 360CS wheels. Hood was taken from the revell shelby cobra kit which im never going to build. Planning on making the engine twin turbo similar to the air induction set-up of the new TT saleen S7. Used tamiya epoxy and basic puddy with model masters grey primer. Comments and suggestions are most def welcome, and thank you GTmike400 for the how to on posting pics.

Re: Ferrari F50 GT custom Lot of pics beware!

Going to put a standard GT type racing wing on it. Ill have updated pictures soon progress has been hindered by summer school tests and studying for the DAT but i should have some up today or tomorrow. I also like the way it looks without the wing so much i think i will build my standard f50 that way i think the huge wing hides alot of the beautiful lines in the back. Looks more like a mclaren f1 or koininsegggorooonie like this.

Re: Ferrari F50 GT custom Lot of pics beware!

Little update. Did all the carbon and kevlar underbody panels and heat shielding on the firewall etc. Also almost done with the wheels and tires just need a flat clear coat, used some old michelin decals from an old kit and used those tiny prancing horse metal transfers that come with the crazy modelers ferrari transfer kit. Pretty much done with the main portion of the engine, the pluming of the turbos is rather difficult. Finished the kevlar doors although i might darken them up with some smoke before clear coating. And finally gave the body a mist coat of flat black to see how things will look.

Re: Ferrari F50 GT custom Lot of pics beware!

Some long awaited updates to this project. Its been pretty slow taking most of the summer, i got pretty unenthused after thinking about the turbo set up for soo long. But here is most of the engine done (just needs some more plumbing), most of the interior (need some racing do dads etc.), and the brakes and suspension are all done. Id say the carbon kevlar work takes the longes and the pipinng for the turbos was and still is a pain. Well hope you all enjoy sorry for some blurry pics.

And a little bit of a side project with my phone.

Re: Ferrari F50 GT custom Lot of pics beware!

Hi.

Some cool project you got going.
That's some depressingly impressive work . I'm not a fan of the F50, but what you're doing to it, I really like.

One question:
I noticed on the pictures that the driver's seat has some kind of texture to it.
Was it that way OOB, or did you create this texture yourself ?
And if you created it yourself, how did you do it ?
Looks very convincing and real. I might try this myself sometime (if it's not too difficult to achieve ).

Re: Ferrari F50 GT custom Lot of pics beware!

The seat is sprayed with a textured spray paint made by scale motorsport (same company that makes all the carbon decals). It sprays very clean and can be painted over like i did on the dash. They make it in red, black, and grey i think i have one of each. Its way easier than flocking and looks just as nice.
