92 PAU Trouble Codes

I went to check the codes on my 92 PAU, and my diagnostic connector does not have a "B" terminal. According to the picture below, I should have one right next to the "A" terminal, but it is not there. I used the info from this page:
http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/

I don't have one where the B should be, and I do have one where the D should be. The M is missing as well. Anyone have any idea?

Re: 92 PAU Trouble Codes

The 92 should have a 12 pin ALDL like the one shown in the top pic. It would be extreamly rare, however it could be the 16 pin OBD11 shown in the lower pic. If so, that would be the first 1992 I have seen with a 16 pin!!

Re: 92 PAU Trouble Codes

After taking a picture to show you, I realize that I might have been looking at it upside down. I assumed that since I had a mostly completed row, missing just 1 pin, that this would be the same as the A-F row. I attached a picture, with a couple of arrows pointing to what I now think are the A&B terminals. Could you just verify I have the right ones. I don't want to short anything out. Thanks a bunch.

Brandon

Re: 92 PAU Trouble Codes

Thanks, I tried them and it worked. I got a code 54 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Fault). Any recommendations? The light has since gone off, so I don't know if I will worry about it. Will disconnecting the battery clear the codes?

Re: 92 PAU Trouble Codes

Yes that will work. The problem may have only been a one time thing or you can also take off the egr valve and clean the passageways with carb and choke cleaner if you want.I would only worry if the code comes back
