Replacing Starter
I've been volunteered the job to replace a starter in my brohter in laws 1996 Dodge Dakota 4x4 with the 5.2 motor. can anyone give me any insight on the easiest way to access the starter to remove it, number one....it's pretty much buried under the motor and right above the front drive shaft with no room to work. I've removed the two screws (maybe 1/4" by 4") that releases the top part of the starter from the housing. Now i just need to remove the rest of it. Also, can anyone tell me how many bolts there are to remove the entire starter from the truck? I've never replaced one before but I feel that I can do it if I know what I'm looking at. Also..the two wires coming from teh battery, I'm assuming a power wire and one from a relay, how do they hook into the starter?
Thanks for your help.
