The next generation of Evos...

I donno how many of you guys have seen it but Mitsubishi is giving the next generation of Evo's a facelift with a few new tricks. The "Concept X" produces over 300 hp from the good ol 4g63t with some slight changes and is coupled with a twin disc clutch and a stronger AWD system.

Its set to be released in 2007 and I'm sure some of us in here will be first in line to buy one. I know I may consider it.

I like it, it would be one sweet ass daily beater. I could build my GSX for a dedicated drag car. But I really cant justify what they want for new cars. But maybe someday.

I would be first in line for an Evo when that came out... an Evo 8. Looks kinda cool, but besides 2gb's and 1ga's the Evo 8 is the sexiest car on the road.

The evo x won't have the 4g63, they said they were retiring it for the new motor which will do the 300hp stock.

Yea, I read an article that it is not the 4g63 anymore. Heard it is more of a car to compete with high end sedans, not fast imports. Its sappose to be a mess to work on, turbo is in between the engine and firewall, etc. It is kind of sad, I wanted to by a brand new 4g63 one day.

And for the turbo being between the firewall and engine, watch it have the same problems like the srt4 did when it 1st came out, burning up turbos left and right lol. One of my friends have one and if he does 1 pass up the road and back the damn turbo is cherry red!!! the entire thing!!

It also makes you think since the 4g63 is comming to a end will the parts for the 4g63 go up in price more?

Lets hope not anytime soon... Theres a lot of us who are still trying to piece our cars back together before the prices ever go up.

The 4g ralliart eclipse comes to mind lol.......That would be so freakin amazing, I would buy it on the spot, even if they produced it without all the HKS goodies...... but sadly it's only a concept that will never see a showroom floor
