engine light blinking

hey everyone i have a problem. my engine light is blinking when i'm driving and stays on when i'm at an idel. i just had my battery replaced and thats when all of this started to happen. i did go to 3 different places to see if the code could be read and no luck, either an error or the code reader could not link with my cpu. my warrenty is up so i'm dreading having to go back to the dealer. anyone have any suggestions.

Re: engine light blinking

a BLINKING engine light signals a fault that can and will cause damage to your catalytic convertor.

the IONs control computers are connected via CAN lines, which is basicly a little computer network inside your car. this is a new method of comunication used in a growing number of models which all older scan tools and still many newer scantools can not comunicate with, you need to find a shop with a CAN compatible OBD2 scantool
