95'- need code read. Paperclip an option?

I have been doing some research on my Obd 1 hybrid 1995 Aurora. I have confirmed repeatadly over the last few years that it is a obd 1 w/ and obd 2 connector. My question is:

With an Obd 1 GM you can usually 'jump' two of the connectors with a metal piece like a paperclip and get the ses light to blink with your stored codes. I checked the net and came up with som great advice. I got a diagram which applied to mongrul odb1 computers like mine. When I got under my dash and went to play with the connector I noticed that there were fewer pins and in different areas than I expected. There were 16 holes, but only about 5 of them had metal connectors. The service manual showed what they were, some ground and a few 'serial' circuits.

A) Is there any way to put her into diagnostic mode without spending a hundred dollars to have it scanned?

b) Anyone know where i can get an OBD-1 scanner w/gm chip and OBD-2 connector for cheap money?

c) Anyone heard of a 'adl' cable that links the computer via a serial cable to a laptop or computer? I am worried if i get a cable, the pin assignments will not work?

The reason for this? I recently rehaulled my baby and fixed the bulb for the ses light. Now i noticed that I have an intermitet code coming up. The car has 180,000 miles and runs top shelf. Im fairly certain that its an o2 sensor or another emisions sensor that is starting to fail. There is no difference in performance or economy that I can see. For $100 bucks for 'one' scan, i'll pull the bulb like the jack that owned the car before me (ha ha ha). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry, paper clip trick won't work on the 95 or for that fact any other Aurora. You won't be able to buy one for cheap but you best bet will have to be ebay. Unless anyone else has any ideas?

I haven't tested the following myself but plan to the next time I get the infamous SES light. It might be worth a shot:

To display DTC’s for OBDI cars that have the 16 pin (OBDII style) connector you have to jumper pins 5 and 6. I don't know how to insert a picture here but the below may help. The numbers noted with parens ( ) are blanks. Numbers without parens are wired. Number 5 is a ground but I do not know what all the others are.
