91 f150 high idling

Truck high idles at like 3200 rpm's someone told me to disonnect the lines going to the egr , they are plugged with charcoal or something. is this or could this be true?

Vaccume lines broken or pluged up will make it idle fast, if everything seems ok then just turn your idle mixture screw in or out to make it idle slower, its on the carb, by the linkage for the accelerator.
