Tint

I would love to get 35% tint on my car. Every place I have tried charges $225. Does this seem steep to you? My friend lives in Northern Florida and get seemless tint jobs on alll his cars and never pays more than $125.

Give Northeast Auto Sound in Dracut, MA a call. Wonderful job for about 180 bucks.

It's cause u have more places to do it. In Florida and Cali u need tinit year round. In Boston it is only a summer thing. I would jump on it for that price, but could never get it. I've seen it for $99 in Fl, but didn't have the car.

Not a chance, u need a squeejie (I can't spell, but u get the point) and this special solution. Then u need to get it the right percent. I wont be able to do the job seemless and there are enough cars driving around w/ bubbled tint everywhere. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one.

what i'm telling you is from seeing the workers doing it and an episode on HORSEPOWER tv.......... the newer tints don't bubble unless there is a bubble all ready....u can buy a kit with the squeegie(?)and stuff you'll need....the solution is only soap and water thats so the tint film can be easily spread around and squeeegied(don't ask either).....theres only three tricks that I've seen done........ 1st use the outside of the window to cut the film into the shape of the window and round off the edges by using your finger as a guide(use a heat gun to flatten the film out and I think to activate the glue .....2nd peel away the plastic and place the film inside of the window(make sure you use the solution before and after...and be generous)....next just squeegie out all the air bubbles...

remeber....only from seeing the proffesionals do it :flash:

try to do your homework first.....but I think it can be done with a good day and without the 225 dollar tag....

Don't try tinting it yourself unless you are completely sure you know what your doing. You should be able to get a good quality job for no more than $135. Anymore than that and your gettin ripped.

Yeah........but if you want to save a do-it-your-selfer will do the trick. Plus you can always remove the tint and try again. N-e-ways it was just a suggestion....

You could also go to the tint shop and check out how they do it. It really is simple once you seen it done.

And I would gladly pay the 150. I am looking into the previoud post which was 180 and somewhat close. Anyone fairly close in MA that knows of a cheaper, but good tinit place, don't be shy. Post it up here for all to see. :sun:

THATS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!!! I HAVE 35% TINT ON MY CAR TOO, AND THIS PLACE IN NEW JERSEY CHARGED ME ONLY $120 FOR ALL MY WINDOWS. THEY GAVE ME A LIFETIME WARRANTY TOO...

I PUT TINT ON MY LAST CAR THAT I OWNED...CAME OUT PERFECT, BUT U JUST GOTTA KNOW WHAT UR DOING. THE BACK WINDOW IS A LIL' COMPLICATED, BUT FOR A PROFESSIONAL LOOK A HEAT GUN IS RECOMMENDED.

GOOD LUCK

Talking

I know a guy here in AZ that tints cars for $70. Its a good job too, he did my 98 Escort before my ex took off with it....she IS the chupacabra....He can do up to 65%, although not hard to get away with in some states...AZ is kinda leanient on that, not as bad as , say, SO CAL.....

Yo $135 for a tint job in Massachusetts is impossible to find. Even $180 is a great deal.

Hey 95Q45 how did the tint job come? Cuz I would love to get my tint done but I just want to know that the place is trust worthy. Any bubbles??? Is it perfection?

I know a place that will do it perfectly with no flaws for $300 and then the rest of the aftermarket performance stores do it for $225. Like Auto Design Haus and RPM in Boston.

So I think I might give this Northeast Auto Sound in Dracut a call. Thanx bro.

Oh future reference. . .if you need aftermarket stuff for your car. Auto Design Haus has it for mad crazy cheap.
