01 trib DX clutch ?

Hi All, my 01 trib has 67k and when it heats up the clutch pedal intermittently softens to nothing and of course the clutch doesn't want to engage. I've only identified a few area's that could possibly fail. Has anyone encountered this or have any suggestions? Thank you

Re: 01 trib DX clutch ?

No clutch in mine, but as a former Mazda dealer tech, ...it sounds like a hydraulic slave problem. There is only a master and a slave, so start by resealing or replacing the slave. When i was in Hawaii (working at the dealer) the salt air would corrode the slave and the masters, so we always changed them.

Aloha and best regards.

I had it diagnosed at the dealer, it's the master. It's not losing any fluid so it's an internal seal. $111 and the part should be in soon. Thank you
