European plates cannot be used here in exchange for your standard plates...

If you live in a state which requires a front plate, you must keep your standard plate in addition to putting on the euro one, or any other plate for that matter.

If you are not required to have a front plate, then you may put on a euro plate as it is just decoration.

I live in NJ and we require a front plate. Last year I removed it and put on a euro plate. I got a ticket for no front plate about every 2 weeks until I removed it and put the old one back on. You also get no sympathy from police officers as you not only removed your required plate, but went as far as putting on one from a different country.

hey i got a ticket for that euro-plate too in NJ...it does look phat with it on, but it wuz like a $45-$50 ticket--so i took it off...

if anyone is willing to take a chance w/ it>>>i'll sell it to you--it has a red square in one corner of the plate, with a bunch of random numbers and letters. supposedly it came from germany. make me an offer if ur interested.

i live in washington, and i have been driving without a front plate since i got my driver license. and i have never got any ticket or warning. so i guess the cops does not care so much about it.

even my friends they never got pull over for not having front plate. but one time one of my friend got a warning... but that was it...
