Please help me out.

Ok, so I have a 1991 Lumina this is what has happened as of late. New module it was used the guy said it tested good and everything, put in a new starter too. So here is the problem.

Sometimes I start the car up and it looks like its gonna run great then the RPM meter shoots up then down up and down then goes back to normal then out of no where the cars stalls and won't start for a little qhile to say the least. The more I get the car started the quicker all this stuff happens.

Any ideas? Maybe a bad module? Fuel filter? crank sensor? I have no clue anyone else?

I agree with Max, check fuel pressure to eliminate the fuel system as the culprit. A bad crank sensor, ignition module and ECM will all exhibit the same symptoms, and require some more difficult troubleshooting. Fuel system problems can be narrowed much easier if fuel pressure is low.
