Re: shift linkage pin help
if you end up not being able to get it off, you can pull the motor with the linkage attached and then its much easier to remove bang it out like that.

Re: shift linkage pin help
if you have access to an air compressor get an air hammer and with the proper bit you can just air hammer it out, really simple.
air tools = time saver

Re: shift linkage pin help
k thanks for the help ill have to try it when i go home next..the motors are out of the car im workin on my b16 outside of the engine bay so its easier then hopefully tomorrow ill just lower it in. when i removed the old si motor i just left the linkage on while i lifted it out cuz it was a pain to get to it under the car..but ill just raise up my b with the hoist and take some whacks at the pin. i was tryin to hit it from the top but ill try from the bottom and hopefully get it out. im gettin a sawzall tomorrow to cut out my front mount since i dont need it anymore.

Re: shift linkage pin help
He means that you only use air to remove stuff, air is very powerful and by no means a precision tool. You can snap a bolt in a second with your little finger, definately need to be sensible with air tools.

Re: shift linkage pin help
alright guys i got the shift linkage on but the shifter arm with the circle on the end doesnt have a bushing. im guessing one goes there cuz my old arm has one there but dont kno what kind i need to attach it to the tranny. im gonna call some dealerships today to try and figure it out but let me kno if youve had the same problem.
