Help Me Out...

ok... so im new here, so im hopein someone out there can help the new guy out. first off... intro... names jon, im 18 and live in anowhere town called vermilion, oh. i have a 2001 black cav (minus ecotech engine)... heres some more good news... i dont know shit about cars... ya ya.. its sad, i know. but that comes to my problem... one of my biggest passions is cars, next to guitar... and so i wanna work on my car and make it street worthy.

so i thought i would start off with basic's... like engine tuning (spark plugs, oils, and every other type of fluid i need to know about), then move on to some less simple things like brakes, suspension, exhaust... mess with things like the headers and the pre cats... and all that jazz...

unfortunatly i dont know how to do any of that shit... so im lookin to anyone out there to give me a hand... id really appreciate it...

This forum is a plethera of knowledge when it comes to cavs. All it takes is a little bit of searching and alot of reading and you will have all the mental tools you could need right in front of you.

We all try to be as helpful yet smart ass as possible but most of that stuff is pretty basic and easily searched on here. Most of it is also year specific. Anything you cant seem to find on here already then feel free to ask about. Got a crazy idea for a mod that you want some group input to see if the mechanics can work out, fuck it, bring it on. Chances are we will either brain storm it up and make it work or just shoot it down and spend some time making fun of the idea for a while.

Alot of people here are biased too, so you must be careful about that. One likes this idea, the other thinks its the dumbest thing since the salad fork. I mean, who needs two different forks for a meal?
