Leveling Kits?

I want to put 305/55R20's on my 01 chevy Z71 and didn't know if i should put on a leveling kit with adjustable keys, or put the leveling kit on with a 1" block in the back or extra leaf, or just get a 3" suspension lift. What do you think would be the best and what do you think of putting the block or leaf in the back with the leveling kit? The difference in cost between the leveling kit and suspension is about $1000 and I've had a body lift before and think they look bad, but i am not into the sky high trucks even though they look good, you just loose funcionability out of them.

I put a leveling kit on my 05 Z71 and like it a lot. It was real easy, about a half hour to put on. All a leveling kit is are new torsion bar keys, which allow for more adjustment of the torsion bars. I would suggest using the add-a-leaf in the rear.

y do u wanna lift it, they will fit without doing this. i had a 305-45-22 on my truck with stock height in front and 2 inch drop in rear. pics in sig, and i have minimal rubbing in front but 20's should be shorter and not have then problem.

Did you put those on a 9" rim? That is what i was going to go with. I am coming up with the 305/55/20 to be 1/2" taller than the 305/45/22. but i would think it should clear with the lift.

305's will work on a 9" wide rim.

Question, I have the leveling keys on my '05 Z71. If you go with the add-a-leaf block on the rear, do you have enough adjustment left on the bars to level it up with the rear?

I believe so. I had talked to a guy over the weekend and he recommended adding a leaf in the rear. but I still can't find out if I can fit 305/55/R20 on it though.

your problem will most likely be turning and hitting the inner fenders, lifting may help some but you will most likely need to modify the inner fenders to clear them.
