Insight Production Stopped ?

Anyone else catch this ABC news article claiming the Insight will not be produced for '07 ? The reason they gave was it being due to much lower sales figures than expected.

Are you surprised? How many '06 models did Honda sell? Couldn't be more than a dozen It's no more a practical vehicle than is the S2000.

There are too many hybrid vehicles out there to warrent another one that isn't even advertised anymore. I haven't seen a commercial for the insight for years now. Toyota is kicking everyone's a$$, and there's already the Civic and Accord hybrids.

The S2000, like other sports cars, aren't practical. But it is a sports car, and that's it's place. I certainly don't see that going out of production any time soon.

They already have the fuel cell vehicle. Are you referring to that? Or, did you mean all electric, like a go kart? The term "hybrid" implies that there are two sources.

Very strange. Every source I checked said, "No '07 S2000". We just got a new batch of '07's at the dealership I work at this week! This originally started as a Insight thread...but the S2000 is more exciting. Sorry for the jack.
