keyless fob

i have a keyless fob that only works with the UNLOCK button and will not lock. I havent tried the ALARM button. I changed batteries so im assuming its kicking the bucket. any ideas?

Have you cleaned the contacts? I know mine over time have developed kind of an oily residue that gets wiped off with some contact cleaner to restore functionality.
