I have a 95 Escort that turns over but won't start. One thing I have noticed, when the key is in the on posion none of the dash warning lamps come on eg check engine, battery. Also the turn signals won't work but the wipers do. Is this an indication that the problem is with the ignition switch? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Re: 95 Escort won't start
switch... or possibly a fuse. I am not sure if the engine will crank with the fuse out, but I do remember that the dash lights will go out. check the fuses under the dash... if they are good you can toy with your switch. unplug the leads from the switch and see if things power up hardwired before you get a new one.
