When do you plan on installing the new style LIM gaskets?

Re: New LIM gaskets

possibly this weekend/next week. Taking the LIM off and sending it to the machine shop to make sure it not warped.

Re: New LIM gaskets

Got the GP up and running last nite a 9:00 the gaskets went on nice. Got the LIM machined to the tune of .004 gone. Nice easy install. Along with the new LIM gasket two new GM coolant elbows.

Why two coolant elbows? Am I missing something? Where did you get the elbows?

Out of curiosity, why did you decide to use copper plumbing versus the plastic.

I thought that mixing or using two dissimilar metals like copper and aluminum was a not a good idea due to the possibility electrolysis. It will probably work over the short term but I am not sure about long term. The cooling system does carry some form of conductivity.

Re: New LIM gaskets

well i don't know about conductivity but im assuming the copper won't produce electricity if anything, also the copper is helluva lot stronger than the plastic, and i personally like to fabricate my own parts, i guess im a custom person
