Angry STEALERSHIP pricing....

Long story short, my driverside window wouldnt go down, at first instinct I thought it was the window motor, but then thought of the relay. Anywhom, while I was watching my kid, my dad <bless his soul> straight TORE apart both driverside doors: he swapped the two motors to see if the other would work, NO DICE. So, it is the relay. Now, I have two sets of f*cked up cable guides, or whatever you call them. The grommets that keep the window cables in line are all broken, and the cables themselves are extremely frayed < he used alot of force>. I just want to know how much I can expect to pay to get this fixed. Any help is appreciayted. domo minna-san...

What does this have to do with stealership pricing??

Anyhow, it isn't necessarily the relay. My driver's side window wouldn't go down (fortunately my dad and I used restraint when pulling the doors apart). It turned out that the switch was dirty, and a different switch within the relay was dirty. If you ever come up to S. Utah, contact me and we could look at it or something.

Sorry I don't know much about the window guides and cables. I have heard that 93-97 Altima window motors are compatible, but that's not confirmed and I don't know a thing about the guides/cables.

Best of luck.

Emily

Thanks Emily...the reason I need stealership pricing is that I've no idea where else to take it to. Are there automatic window specialist shops? Im not sure. Anyways, I was trying to keep it short, but the motors were perfect, nice and clean. We swapped the relay, and the motor will engage now, but alas, the cable/guide dealie is all messed up. I just wanted to brace myself to see how much this is gonna set me back....Again, though, THANKS, and I might be taking you up on the offer to look my car over, Im going up that way in a month or so....
