2.8l Idle Problems Brian's

2.8l V6 Stalls when turning steering wheel at idle or A/C on or both. Rebuilt distributor completely, new IAC vavle, EGR working fine, new coil, wires, plugs, fuel filter, rebuilt TBI, except for injectors and regulator, new air cleaner, new coolant sensor, new distributor cap and rotory button. Reset idle by the book. Funny thing is the check gauges light flickers on and off when the rough idle starts. When the engine is hot and I cut it off for about 20 minutes, it will not start back up. It acts like it is flooded or something. Wait until it cools off and it will crank. If it is hot and you just turn it off and crank it right away or within 5 or 10 minutes it will crank right up. Very sluggish no power. Sometimes I can't hear the fuel pump running when this happens, but I do have fuel pressure. Oh and there aren't any codes and the check engine light is not on while running. Help!!!!!

did you clear the computer when you replaced the iac valve? if you dont clear the comp after replacing a component the comp will remember the old sensor values. also did you clean out the idle channel. carbon can build up in there and reguardless if you replace the iac or not it will change nothing.

it would really help if you ran a scantool snapshot when the check engine light comes on so you can examine the sensor values at the time of the check engine light. also capturing the code when the check engine light flickers.

When it won't start do you have spark and are the injectors spraying, basic checks here. How much fuel pressure, 10-13 psi?
